What changed
Sycamore is now independently owned and operated, headquartered in Troy, Michigan. Decisions about the programs, the appetite, and the direction of the business are made in-house. That independence is why we can underwrite the way we do, by judgment, around the factor, without a distant corporate rulebook overriding the file in front of us.
Servicing continuity
Even though Sycamore is now independent, several functions that keep the programs running still route through Conifer Insurance Services, a separate servicing company that provides us with payment processing, claims administration, and technology support.
